1. If possible put your keywords in your domain.
If your blog is already up and running then its too late, but do it if you start a new blog, make sure your chosen domain contains the keywords you want to target. For example, if you are going to blog about sea fishing then try and get that term in your domain i.e seafishingblog.org. This makes your site look relevant and search engines like this.
2. Insert your keywords in your posts.
adding your main keywords into your posts where ever possible is another way of improving your blogs relevence. Dont over do it though as the search engines will think you are conning them.
3. Use Keywords In Your Anchor Text Links
If you post comments on other weblogs or post on forums, try and include your keywords in your links in related subjects. Anchor text is a great way of helping you move up the search engine rankings.
4. Link exchange with other blogs in your niche.
Contact the webmasters of other blogs related to yours and see if they would be interested in exchanging links this will be a benefit to you both.
