Everybody knows that to start getting traffic from search engines you need a lot of good quality back links. So just how do you go about getting the back links you need.
In this article i will tell you the top 6 ways that i use to build quality back links to my websites and if you use them then you can also build your links.
Directory Submissions: A good place to start is submitting your website to quality web directories such as Poll Get, Inside Hits and Blog Directory. Their are thousands of free directories around but i would also consider submitting to some quality paid directories as well.
Submit Articles: Probably one of the most popular ways of building one way back links to your website. Most article directories such as Trump Articles will allow you to leave a link back to your website in the resource box.
Use Forums: Forums are another way of building your back links as most will allow you to have a signature link. Join forums related to your niche but do not spam them. A good up and coming blog forum is Blogging Hop.
Social Bookmarkeing: Submitting your website to social bookmarking websites will get you some free one way back links. Sites such as Del.icio.us, Digg.com, faves.com, backflip.com, linkroll.com, spurl.net, bibsonomy.org.
Yahoo Answer: You can search Yahoo Answers for questions related to your niche and answer them leaving a link to your website in the source box. Read our series on Yahoo Answers.
Blog Commenting: Search for blogs within your niche and post comments on their posts but do not spam them. Leave excellent well though out replies or your comments will be rejected. Most blogs will use No Follow on comment links but don’t let this put you off as they still count as back links.
Using the 6 tips i have just given you will put you well on the road to building some excellent one way links to your website.

Great tidbit. A couple more question/answers type sites have popped up recently. I can’t remember off-hand, but I’ll be back with them if you’re interested.
Do you think blog directories still work? I hear conflicting stories.
Yes i think blog directories still have plenty of benefits to the blogger as long as they are promoted correctly and dont just accept any old crap.
Simple but solid tips. I’ve taken advantage of almost all of those before. Except for forums tip. I haven’t ever really been a member of a forum primarily for the sig links. I am an active member of DP but I look at my sig links there as… well an afterthought.
Yes I think we must have a lot of backlink to get our website known by others, your idea is very good, thank you for your hints.
Nice tips David. I have never tried the Yahoo Answers. Might have to give it a go.
