Many online blogs are using RSS feeds, but don’t really have any success with them. So here are eight simple steps to RSS success:
1. Add a description to your RSS feeds let the users know what it’s about. You can also add keywords to your feed. This makes it searchable in the major search engines.
2. Make sure you include time stamps on your feeds. This lets your readers know they are reading new news and nothing old.
3. Make sure you post at least once a week or more. This will prevent your feeds from being cut off and this ultimatly will only put your readers off.
4. Add images and bulletin points to break up your text on the feed long text is another off putter for your readers.
5. Make sure you include the comments this lets your readers know that the subject is worth reading.
6. Add a description of who you are to your feed this lets your readers know who you are and gives a sense that they know you.
7. Be sure to add an rss subscribe button to your website or blog. Also give them the option to subscribe to your feed via email, Feedburner.com is one site that offers this service.

There are some great tips here.. But I`m gonna share with you another tip.. I picked this up from the root of all evil.. If you feedburner`s rss counter shows small number of subscribers, don`t place it on your website!
