Sorry guys, lots of problem with my host when I went out for 2 days. My wordpress hosting account was suspended and I lost my backup too as my computer crashed during the same period. Worst days these were and somehow I was able to get a backup for this blog. Thanks to hostgator, they are really a best web hosting providers.
I already have 2 hostgator hosting accounts but I thought to buy something new and went to Lunarpages web hosting. Currently they are running a great promotional offer which can get you unlimited featured hosting for as low as $5/month compared to $10/month from similar featured hostings. I grabbed the deal and tell you – lunarpages rocks too. Their support is also good as said on their website.
As this blog is very big with over 250 blog posts, I had few problems backing up mysql database. But nothing can stop me from bringing this blog again. I dropped some unimportant stats and such tables to make the database small and imported again. It worked !! Will continue posting again. Hope there will be no hosting problem again – its very tough to come out of such situations.

Good to hear that everything is back to normal. The worst thing could happen is when you have no backup at all, though some hosts would gladly help you to restore it. Good luck, pal.

Hi David, I’m glad to see you back online. I stopped by when your site was down and was hoping it was something minor. I use HostGator too. I’m glad they were able to help you our with the backup.
Does that mean you have three hosting accounts now? You must have a ton of sites. I have a dedicated server at Hostgator and don’t come close to using it up. I did have a resellers account but my Ad Tracking site was using far too much bandwidth. It does look like lunarpages is a little cheaper. I’m paying $44/month more that the lunarpages equivalent.

Brian, I have 2 hostgator hostings and 1 lunarpages hosting now..
$44/month is a lot if you are not making any hosting sales..
Go with this lunarpages plan or buy a shared hosting if resources are not used more

I had the same kind of issues around the same time. Maybe we have the same hosting company? I decided to stay only because they provide awesome customer service and great deals for hosting. Glad you got everything resolved though!
Remember to backup regularly with cron.
