If you are a regular user of Stumbleupon you will know that many people will simply look at your homepage for a few seconds and then move onto the next stumbled website. So just how do you convert these stumblers into regular visitors to your blog or website.
I have come up with 4 tips that will help you convert stumblers into RSS feed subscribers and regular visitors to your site.
Top Tip One. Make sure that your RSS feed subscribe button is clearly visible to all your visitors. Give them the option of subscribing via a RSS reader or by email.
Place your subscription options at both the top and bottom of your blog or website as many stumblers will often have a quick scroll down your webpage.
Top Tip Two) Usa a Call to Action to get them to visit your other websites or blog pages. Give them clear instructions to visit your other pages. Dont keep them guessing what you want them to do next.
Top Tip Three) As we have done with this post make a mention about StumbleUpon and ecourage people to join your community on stumble. Growing your friends will only increase the traffic you recieve from StumbleUpon so without further ado come and join us on StumbleUpon.
Top Tip Four) Start a contest. Most stumbleUpon users like a good contest. Ask them to sign upto to your RSS feed as a way of getting an entry into your contest. The better the prize on offer the more stumblers you will convert.
