Q: Introduse us to your directory and yourself?
Hello my name is Cosmin aka w3bmaster an Seo freelancer with 3 years experience and a webmaster, my directory just want’s to help people with good sites to get a free one way link.
Q: What made you want to own a directory?
Being an seo and doing lot’s of submissions made me want to make a webdirectory + i can test some things with it and also this was the begining of having online websites and making money with sites.
Q: What would you say makes a quality directory?
Free one with good link popularity and a high PR (this is the only case where pr really counts) + as many indexed pages as possible.
Q: How do you promote your directory?
Geting backlinks on the dp forums + directory lists
Q. What would you say was hardest part of getting established?
Actualy driving traffic to a webdirectory is almost the easy way (getting traffic to other sites would be harder)
Q: What 5 things things do you like about directories?
- Easy way to get one way backlinks
- Getting backlinks with desired anchor text
- there are so many so you get many backlinks
- directorys and articles are the most easy way to get backlinks
- some people think they don’t have a value for rankings but from my experience they have
Q: What 5 things things do you dislike about directories?
- way to many scammers and quick for cash ones
- today they are free tommorow not that’s makes me mad
- those who say they are free but they want a reciprocal links that’s not free
- many people think directorys can make much money well they are wrong they can but with huge huge investments
- to many pop up and dissapear very quickly
Q: When considering if you would submit to a directory what do you look at?
Must be free
Q: What one piece of advice would you give to a new directory owner?
If you want to make money from it and you don’t have experience + a few k’s to invest don’t do it or do it as a hobby and to help other site owners making it free
Q: What are your plans for the future with your directory?
Well hope i will get better PR as my directory also has permanent featured links available at 10$ and deep link permanent option at 5$ i’m constantly building links to it and aproval time is very fast
