Today we feature an interview with the owner of Blogsvine.com a content management website for bloggers where members vote for articles submitted by other bloggers. Content management websites are growing extremely popular at the moment and blogs vine is no different.
Tell us who is Blogsvine?
I am Nandeibam (Nk) and Blogsvine is my first community project. I also have some friends here to assist me in various aspects of its growth and development. I am 23 right now and I am completing my University Degree as an Electronics Engineer in a couple of weeks and I have bigger plans for Blogsvine thereafter.
Where did the name Blogsvine come from?
I did a bit of Brain Storming with some of friends before we actually came up with the name. I wanted to have “Blogs” in it and so, we started combining it with various other terms like hub, bay, tree…whatever that came on our minds. When the name Blogsvine came up, I was like “Okay then, let’s get All Blogs on one Vine” and that’s how Blogsvine was born.
What other sites do you run?
I use to run dozens of websites and blogs before I started Blogsvine.com. But right now, all these blogs and websites are managed by Ahanthem. At present, I only run Blogsvine and give my full time to it.
Is Blogsvine as popular as you had hoped?
Frankly, it grew much faster than I had hoped. In the first month alone, we received over 10,000 visitors and over 37,000 Page views as per Google Analytics Report. But of course, that’s just a part of our main target. Soon enough, I hope to see “All Blogs on one Vine”.
Do you think it will get bigger?
Definitely.
Any ideas on expanding the site?
I already have made a list of ideas but I need to cook them properly before I bring it out. A Blog Directory, a Bloggers Message Board, a Traffic/Banner Exchange Program and an “Earn Money Module” are some of the items in the top portion of the list.
How do you market Blogsvine?
I haven’t fully started marketing Blogsvine yet. But we did announce our “Launch” and few other updates on a couple of Online Discussion Forums and a few Advertising Networks. Many of my Blogger Friends started actively participating in Blogsvine by submitting their new blog stories. All our active members have helped promoting Blogsvine in some or the other way.
Where do you see Blogsvine in 5 years?
I see Blogsvine as a big Brand, a brand of a large network of active blogs and happy bloggers. ![]()
How many hours a day do you work on the site?
Since Blogsvine is fairly new, I have to spend a lot of time with it. There are bugs to be fixed, features to be added, modifications to be experimented with… In short, I spend almost all my internet time to it and that’s some 10 hours a day in average.
What do you think of our blog problogineer.com?
GeneralMarketingBlog.com is a great internet resource blog and I specially like the articles in the Blogging Tips, Social Networking and Viral Marketing sections. I see some very interesting and useful blog articles from here being submitted to Blogsvine and these articles getting very popular with many votes from other members of our community. Quality articles, useful and informative posts, friendly communication…these are some topics where General Marketing Blog scores really well. I wish a great success for the GeneralMarketingBlog.com
