Pagerank is Updating So Bloody What

What is the big deal with pr and why do the trolls get so excited? well because it means they can sell links on their websites for stupid amounts of money and then in 2-3 months time when God removes there pagerank they have something else to whinge about.
Pagerank makes absolutely no difference to a websites performance in the search engines what so ever regardless of what people might say. What it does do is mean people can charge for links which as we all know God does not like.
I see that once this update is complete my blog will be getting a pagerank of 3 and as far as I am concerned God can take is 3 and stick it right up his *$&%.
- Will it improve my sites position in the serps NO
- Will it get me more subscribers NO
- Will it make me more money NO

Funny post but very true, I stopped worry about PageRank a long time ago. I still like it when one of my site jumps up in PR, why? I don’t really know.
Good points. Forget about page ranks. Very overhyped and not that important.
Soge unfortunatly until Google does away with it people will always be obsessed with it.
Live online is much easier when we stop worrying about little things like pagerank. Ever notice most of those teaching the ’secrets’ to pagerank have none? I find it very amusing. Good original and fresh content and building relationships is the route I’ll follow.

Yea, I can say who cares about the PR, Mine hasn’t changed in forever, but I’d have to admit, I’d be happy to notice some more green in the tool bar.

It is true that by the time the pagerank is published by Google it has already been influencing search results for months. And yes people do make way too much a fuss over them. Still I wish my site had a pagerank of 3.

i wud say YES for this point “Will it make me more money NO” … because one of the reason u have also mentiones like : can earn by selling links… and also few more .. not much.
and about serps … i think good PR affects somewer in serps of our site.

is there any major changes into serp of sites too while G update ? or only PR update ?
I noticed a big increase in serps a couple of weeks before the update.
PR? What’s that? Oh… green pixels. Waste of time… waste of effort… waste of breath.
But yeah, people do get excited about it. Only god knows why. But I think it’s more a PR (Public Relations) thing for Google. Release an update and get everyone talking about them again. I’ve had ancient sites go from a PR5 down to 4 and sites that are brand new with limited links in place go straight from a PR0 to a 4.
Proves that it’s really not worth anything.
