Welcome to the latest series on the General Marketing Blog. In our last series we looked at Bum Marketing and how to do it. In this series we are going to be looking at Squidoo and how you can use it to promote and market your website.
In the first post we are just going to look at squidoo and what its all about then in part 2 we will start looking at creating our first lens. Members of Squidoo can use it to promote just about anything they want from a book to a website or charity. Squidoo is made up of different pages created by members and are known as Lenses.
Reasons why people start a lens:
- They want to increase their knowledge of a particular subject or teach others about.
- To meet people with similar interests in their chosen subject.
- To become an expert in their chosen field.
- To gain traffic to their websites. Google also likes squidoo pages.
- Squidoo is free.
