Place keywords in the key positions on your website: The page title, Meta tags, Body, Headings, Images, Bullets, Links.
Quality website will rank well in search engines because a lot of their visitors will recommend it to other people via word of mouth, email, instant messenger, or better still, will link to it from their own website. Google sees inbound links to your pages as a vote and will increase your position depending on relevancy of the links.
