New innovation support programme available for local businesses

A new support programme is available for local businesses boost their productivity or competitiveness through innovation.

After five rounds of supporting hundreds of businesses of all sizes, the A41 programme is returning and will be expanding on their previous success and opening applications for their sixth round of the programme on Thursday on Thursday 29th July.

The 3m innovate UK programme, aims to boost productivity or competitiveness for UK based businesses. It does this by helping individual companies to solve tricky and perhaps and long running technical problems in innovate ways by bringing them together with the UK top scientist and facilities.

The programme is delivered in partnership with the National Physical Laboratory, The National Measurement Laboratory, The National Engineering Laboratory and The Science and Technologies Facilities Council.

This is a two-stage competition. The stage 1 expression of interest phase is open from the 29th July until Wednesday the 18th August 2021. The businesses who are successful will then be invited to develop joint proposals for round 2 grant applications.
