WBC Business Blog – June 2021

With the news this week around COVID restrictions being delayed until the 19th July, I would to start this newsletter by reminding businesses that the Worcestershire Business Central Growth Hub is on hand to support businesses. The team can work directly with your business to identify the various support programmes which could help your business survive, grow and build back better.

To find out how the Worcestershire Business Central Growth Hub team can help you, contact us by emailing info@business-central.co.uk or phoning 01905 677888.

Following this, I am delighted to say that we have now opened expressions of interest in the next phase of the Peer Networks programme. As you may know, the scheme is a national peer-to-peer networking programme that is delivered locally by the Worcestershire Business Central Growth Hub. It helps businesses overcome challenges and recognise growth opportunities by providing both group and one to one sessions delivered by a trained facilitator.

The Peer Networks programme is open to SMEs in Worcestershire who have; operated for at least one year, have at least five employees, a turnover of at least £100,000 and potential to scale up. The first cohort of 2021 was very successful, and I am really pleased that we have been able to bring the programme back for a second phase. We are looking forward to seeing businesses excel in the next phase. To find out more, see what previous participants had to say and express your interest, visit the Peer Networks landing page on our website: https://www.business-central.co.uk/peer-networks/

Alongside the Peer Networks programme, I am thrilled to reveal that our Specialist Business Adviser programme is also returning for a second phase and open for expressions of interest. This is delivered by five partners who can provide specialist advise to businesses across the 5 themes of marketing, adoption of technology, access to finance, sustainability and general business support. Over 160 businesses benefitted from the first phase of the programme and we’re hoping to build on this success for the next phase which will be starting this summer.
